Could not connect to the server: System.Exception: Received connection failure from the proxy server

The problem probably comes from the proxy server itself. The proxy could not connect to the game server.

His proxy worked fine with the original PROShine.exe, but with the one that he modified it gave him the errors above. I walked him through the editing process, and the only thing he changed was one line in StaffAvoider.cs, so I don't think that's causing a conflict with it. Is there some folder or something the custom exe is missing to make proxies work?

No, there is nothing required for them to work. The proxies are managed by the class SocksConnection in BrightNetwork.dll and this library has not changed in months.

This error message only happens when the proxy server explicitly returned a failure code. I don't think it can be caused by a bug in PROShine, unless PROShine sent an invalid IP address to the proxy server.

if (player.Name != "Nadne" || player.Name != "Nedna")

This condition is always true and does not make sense. You should use AND instead of OR.

It looks like you over-wrote the Game_PlayerUpdated method, which is the one right after Game_PlayerAdded.
